We engineer, build, pipe, commission and support refrigeration and heat plant on natural refrigerants, CO₂ and ammonia. The people who size your system are the people who weld it, start it and answer the phone afterwards.
A plant purchase is not one decision; it is a sequence of them. We run the same stages every time, so you can see where the project stands, what we need from you, and what changes hands at each step. Stage one is your operation rather than our catalogue: duty profile, water or brine flow, ambient and sea conditions, available space, power at the board, and the limits of the vessel or building we have to fit inside. From there we size the system, place the machinery and show you the layout before anything is cut.
Most suppliers assemble components someone else designed. We develop the CO2PRO technology ourselves, including in-house titanium heat exchangers and our own PLC-based control, which is why a Tempia plant can be shaped around your duty instead of your duty being shaped around a standard product. That ownership shows up in ordinary ways: a machine that fits the space you actually have, flow measurement built into the system rather than added beside it, and our own valve control gathered into the same interface, so the whole plant is operated and visualised in one place.
Our plants are developed and manufactured at our own facility in Svolvær, in Lofoten, in the middle of the coastal industry they serve. Design, production and commissioning sit in one organisation, so a question from the engine room reaches the person who drew the system. It also means we build for the environment we live in. Salt air, movement, cramped machinery spaces and long distances to help are ordinary conditions here, and corrosion protection for coastal installation is part of how we detail a plant.
A refrigeration system fails at its joints, not in its brochure. We keep our own welders and industrial pipefitters in house, in PE plastic and in steel and stainless, and we both engineer and execute the pipe installation. That matters most on seawater: the lines carrying sea and process water are laid by the same company that answers for the machine at the end of them. When one party owns both the plant and the piping, responsibility has nowhere quiet to disappear to.
Commissioning is where an engineering job becomes an operating plant. We start the system, run it through its functions, tune the control against real conditions, and then train the crew or operators who will live with it, on the actual machine and the actual screens.

There is no price list, because there is no standard plant. Every delivery is engineered to a specific duty, a specific space and a specific set of conditions, so a published figure would be a guess. Send us the duty or cooling need, the medium and flow, the space available, the vessel or site, and your timeline. You get back a scope, a technical approach and a concrete next step. Capacity figures published on this site are indicative and are confirmed for your case during design. Write to post@tempia.no or call +47 975 34 147. Tempia AS, Ørnvikveien 6, N-8300 Svolvær, Norway.
